Bluegrass PRIDE, LFUCG to Host Second Go Green, Save Green Workshop
[Lexington, Ky.] – Bluegrass PRIDE (Personal Responsibility In a Desirable Environment) and Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) will host the second annual Go Green, Save Green Workshop on March 3 at the Fayette County Extension Office from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
The event, designed for small and large business and apartment complex managers, will provide information on reducing costs by implementing environmentally-friendly practices in standard operations. Topics that will be covered include energy conservation and rebates, waste reduction, and updates on the Water Quality Management Fee Incentive Grants. At the conclusion of the formal workshop, participants may tour Kentucky Eagle, Inc. and Big Ass Fans, both LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified facilities.
“The Go Green, Save Green Workshop is a wonderful opportunity for business and apartment managers to hear information on the latest environmental topics and practices and to gather practical information on using them to improve their bottom line,” said Amy Sohner, executive director of Bluegrass PRIDE. “We’re looking forward to working with LFUCG to build on the success of last year’s workshop.”
