WasteBuster Business Participates in America Recycles Day
[Lexington, Ky.] – As part of the annual America Recycles Day, Good Foods Market and Café, in partnership with Bluegrass PRIDE (Personal Responsibility In a Desirable Environment), will provide information to shoppers on recycling programs and waste reduction on November 15, 2008.
Anyone who is interested is encouraged to visit Good Foods at 455 Southland Drive in Lexington on November 15 to speak with representatives from Bluegrass PRIDE and to learn more through informational literature focusing on Central Kentucky. Participants will also have the opportunity to sign personal pledge cards, indicating that they are willing to increase their personal recycling efforts.
“Bluegrass PRIDE is proud to team up with Good Foods Market and Café to educate Central Kentuckians on the importance and benefits of waste reduction and recycling,” said Amy Sohner, executive director of Bluegrass PRIDE.
Through Bluegrass PRIDE and Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Division of Waste Management, Good Foods Market and Café has become one of more than 150 recognized WasteBuster Businesses. As part of this program, the store has participated in, and increased, recycling efforts, actively engaged in waste reduction strategies, and trained and encouraged its employees to take steps to help them meet this goal.
