The national headquarters on Tempur-pedic are located in Lexington, KY. They employee over 300 people and their operation includes sales, shipping and customer service, but not manufacturing.
They are committed to recycle as much as they can and educate their employees. There are recycling bins at most desks, common areas, break rooms and exercise area. They have placed posters in key spots helping employees know what is recyclable and what not to place in the recycling bin. They also have invited staff from Bluegrass PRIDE to their health fairs, to educate staff members about recycling at work and their homes.
After a few months, of recycling, they saw what a large amount of cardboard they were producing, so they got a cardboard dumpster to handle it, and leave the “Rosies” for office paper and plastic bottles. Aluminum cans are separated and sold for fund raising efforts towards charities and programs for the employees.
